Summer Fun at the Beach Club!
The beach club opened up this Memorial Day weekend and will be open through Labor Day. We went up to Big Canoe for Memorial Day weekend and spent some time getting to experience many of the fun activities offered, and here are a few of our favorites.
Watersports
We started our day with kayaks, and the boys were so excited to be able to navigate their own boat! They inevitably got stuck (a few times) but they had a lot of fun :) We all got a good workout so afterwards we decided to take out a paddleboat and enjoy the lake views.
There were other options for watersports including paddle boards and of course canoes! And the great thing is everything is included as part of the beach club day pass.
Inflatable Waterpark and Rockslide
After we finished with watersports, the boys couldn't wait to try out the inflatable waterpark on the lake. I should mention that this Memorial Day was a little bit cool, so the lake was definitely chilly, which just meant extra incentive to not fall into the lake! They enjoyed getting to go through all of the obstacles!
Big Canoe also features the famous 200 ft rockslide, we didn't make it out there this trip so I will definitely be posting again soon about this fun and unique activity!
Pools
We also of course spent some time at the pool during our day!
With the beach club day pass, you can also access two pools. One is directly adjacent to the beach and the other, wildcat pool, is close to the North Gate. The pool at the beach club features zero entry and tons of seating around the pool to relax. Wildcat pool has a lap pool as well as a kiddie pool with splash pad.
And of course, the beach!
The beach at Big Canoe spans 300 yards along Lake Disharoon and is perfect for relaxing in the sun after all the fun activities while the kids play in the sand, or if you still have energy, there is usually a game of beach volleyball going!
After all the activities, we were definitely hungry! The great thing is there is a grill at the beach club, and they even have the option to place a mobile order so you don't loose your spot! The kids were excited that, in addition to plenty of sandwich options, they had a variety of ice cream to choose from :)
Food
